The story
The Constellation's defining visual element, four claws set at the corners of the bezel, was introduced with the Constellation Manhattan in 1982, designed by Carol Didisheim in place of the traditional smooth bezel used on earlier Constellation models dating back to the line's 1952 debut. That claw design has carried through every subsequent Constellation generation, including the current one. Omega redesigned the men's Constellation line in January 2020, first releasing 36mm and 39mm sizes before adding the 41mm case reference 131.30.41.21.01.001 sits within. The update beveled the edges of the case, lugs, and claws, reshaped the winding crown, and gave the dial slimmer facetted indexes. The 41mm models also moved to the higher-capacity caliber 8900, a step up from the caliber 8800 used in the smaller 36mm and 39mm sizes.
