Moda Communities
Use Moda with your AI assistant
Moda has a connector that lets an AI assistant answer from Moda's own records instead of guessing. Add it to your assistant once, then ask in plain words, for example which group fits the watch you want to sell, or whether the person who just messaged you really works for Moda.
The connector address
https://www.modacommunities.com/api/public-mcp/v1It needs no account and no sign-in. Assistants that support MCP connectors, the open standard for these, accept it as a custom connector.
Adding it to Claude
In Claude, open Settings, then Customize. On the Connectors tab, press Add and choose Add custom connector. Name it Moda, paste the address above and add it. Then start a new chat and ask Claude something about Moda. Other assistants take the same address, but where you paste it, and which plans allow it, differ from app to app.
What your assistant can look up
- Find the right group
- Ask which Moda community fits what you buy or sell, and it lists the official groups with their Facebook links, how access works and the steps to join.
- Check whether someone is really Moda
- Give it an email, a phone number, a Facebook profile link or a business name, and it checks it against the same records as the verify page.
- Check a Facebook group link
- Paste a group, post or share link and it says whether that group is one of Moda's.
- Check a listing before you post
- Paste the listing and it finds the words a group's automatic filter declines, the same lists the Post Checker uses.
- Look up a watch reference
- Give it a reference such as 126610LN and it names the watch, its size and years, and links Moda's reference page. It gives no prices.
- Answer questions about Moda
- Ask how joining, posting, memberships, the middleman or refunds work, and it answers with Moda's published help answers, word for word.
- Get Moda's latest news
- Ask what is new, or whether a group is down, and it reads the newest posts from The Feed and any notice about a group that is temporarily down.
- Fix a listing
- Paste a listing that keeps getting declined and it rewrites it so the group's filter lets it through, the same fix as the Post Checker, and lists every change it made.
- Explain a watch term
- Ask what BNIB, full set, hesalite or a nickname like Hulk means, and it answers from Moda's glossary of about 276 terms.
- Find a watch by name
- Name a watch, such as a Rolex Batman or an Omega Moonwatch, and it lists the matching references with Moda's page for each. It gives no prices.
Lookups answer from what this website already shows. Buying and selling still happens in the Facebook groups, and the connector cannot take payments, change a membership or speak for the team. For anything that needs a person, use the contact form.
Send a report to Moda
Your assistant can also send Moda's team anything the report page takes: a scam, an impersonator or a fake group, a deal dispute, a ban appeal, a group or chat access problem, a declined post, a membership or billing question, or anything else. Tell it what happened. It asks for your name and email, shows you the report, and sends it once you agree to Moda's Terms and Privacy Policy. The team gets it as a case, the same as a report sent from the website, and you get a case number and a confirmation email.
Things to ask
- Someone named Mike says he is a Moda admin and texted me from (605) 555-0142. Is that real?
- Someone sent me a link to a Facebook group called Moda Watch Club VIP. Is it official?
- Which Moda group should I use to sell a 2019 Porsche 911, and how do I join?
- Check my listing before I post it in Moda Watch Club: Omega Speedmaster 3861, box and papers, DM me.
- What is a Rolex 126500LN?
- What does LNIB mean, and which watch is the Hulk?
- My post keeps getting declined in Moda Watch Club. Can you fix it? Rolex Daytona 116500LN BNIB, full set, cash only.
- How does the Moda middleman work?
- Is any Moda group down right now?
- Report a fake Moda group to Moda's team: it is called Moda Watch Club VIP and asked me for an entry fee.
Assistants that show ready-made starters also list four from Moda: Is this really Moda?, Check my listing before I post, Which Moda group fits?, and Report something to Moda.
Without the connector
An assistant that can read web pages can read modacommunities.com/llms.txt, a plain summary of Moda written for AI tools. You can also run the same checks yourself on the verify page and the Post Checker.
What Moda keeps
A lookup does not ask who you are, and Moda records only which lookup ran and whether it worked, not what you or your assistant typed. A report you send is different: it reaches Moda's team with the name, email and details you give, and is kept like any report sent from the website. The Privacy Policy covers the rest of the site.
