Do you take insurance?

Shoelab does not bill insurance directly, and what is covered is up to your plan. A self-submit form with their NPI number is available on request, which you can send to your own insurer to seek reimbursement yourself. That form is not posted publicly; ask Shoelab for it.

How long does a fitting take?

About 30 minutes or less. You come in, a BOC certified pedorthist evaluates your feet and how you move, and you leave with a recommendation.

Are custom orthotics worth it over drugstore inserts?

Shoelab's take is yes, because a custom orthotic is fit to your foot rather than a generic shape. They are designed to help distribute pressure more evenly across the foot, which can matter whether you are on your feet all day or just dealing with discomfort. A fitting is the way to find out what makes sense for you.

What is the full process, start to finish?

Book a fitting or walk in, get evaluated by a pedorthist, talk through the right solution, then get your orthotics or shoes fitted in person or shipped to you. Mailed orders include a return label, since orthotics sometimes need an adjustment to get right.

How much does it cost, and how do I pay?

Prices run from about $50 to $1000 depending on the product and service, from socks and over-the-counter options up to fully custom orthotics. Payment is made in full up front, and there is no financing or payment plan. Moda members use code MODA25 for a discount at checkout.

What does 'Official Moda Vendor' mean here?

It means Shoelab is a paid partner in the Moda vendor program, so Moda members get the MODA25 code and access to Moda-only drops. It does not mean Moda runs Shoelab, oversees fittings, or endorses any orthotic or outcome. Shoelab is an independent business, and your care and your information stay with them.
