The story
The CBS2210.FC6534 belongs to the 39mm Carrera Chronograph line TAG Heuer launched in 2023 to mark the Carrera's 60th anniversary, a generation the brand and collectors both refer to as the Glassbox Carrera because of its raised, domed sapphire crystal. That crystal shape is a deliberate reference to the hesalite crystals fitted to Heuer Carreras of the late 1960s and early 1970s. The reference is powered by Calibre TH20-00, an evolution of the manufacture Heuer 02 chronograph movement TAG Heuer introduced in 2018. TH20-00 keeps the Heuer 02's column wheel and vertical clutch construction and 80 hour power reserve but adds refinements to the finishing and winding efficiency. The immediate predecessor in the line's modern chronograph history was the 43mm Carrera Calibre Heuer 01 automatic, such as reference CAR2A1W.BA0703, which used a larger case and a different, ceramic bezel and sub-dial layout more associated with the brand's motorsport-oriented Carreras of the 2010s. The 2023 relaunch reduced the case size back toward the Carrera's original 1963 proportions, moved away from the ceramic tachymeter bezel used on larger Heuer 01 and Heuer 02 Carreras, and returned to a cleaner three-register chronograph dial.
What to check before you buy
Buyers should not confuse the 39mm Glassbox Carrera Chronograph with the larger 42mm or 44mm Carrera Chronographs from the Heuer 01 and Heuer 02 generations, which use different movements, bezels and dial layouts and are generally worth less on the secondary market due to size preferences shifting smaller. Within the Glassbox family, check the exact reference suffix, since black dial (FC6534), blue dial (FC6535) and bracelet (BA0041 family) versions are priced and sized differently even though the case and movement are shared. Because the domed crystal sits proud of the bezel, inspect it closely for edge chips in used examples, as it is more exposed than a flat crystal.

Common questions
Why is it called the Glassbox Carrera?
Collectors and the trade use the nickname because of its raised, domed sapphire crystal, which echoes the hesalite crystals used on Heuer Carreras from the late 1960s and early 1970s.
What movement does the CBS2210.FC6534 use?
Calibre TH20-00, an in-house automatic chronograph movement with a column wheel, vertical clutch and 80 hour power reserve.
Is a steel bracelet available for this Carrera?
The CBS2210.FC6534 ships on a leather strap, but TAG Heuer offers closely related references in the same 39mm Glassbox family on a steel bracelet.
How does this compare to the older Heuer 02 Carrera Chronograph?
The Glassbox Carrera is smaller at 39mm versus 43 to 44mm on the Heuer 01 and Heuer 02 generation, and drops the ceramic tachymeter bezel for a cleaner dial and domed crystal.
What water resistance does it have?
100 meters, in line with most modern Carrera chronographs.
