Why it matters
WTS (Want To Sell) is the most common opening line on watch trading posts. It tells readers immediately that the post is a sale and signals what's coming next: photos, condition notes, accessories, asking price. In structured trading groups, WTS is often required as a tag for posts to be approved.
A strong WTS post includes the reference number, year, condition grade, what's included (B&P, full set), and an asking price. Posts that omit any of those four usually get questions in the comments before they get offers.
Common questions
- What does WTS mean in watch listings?
- WTS stands for Want To Sell. It's the standard tag on watch trading posts to indicate the poster is selling, not buying or trading.
- What should a WTS post include?
- A complete WTS post includes the watch's brand, reference number, production year, condition grade, what's included (box, papers, accessories), and the asking price. Photos in natural light help close the deal faster.
